Before we start the show, I wanted to make sure to note that this episode with Claire Headley

was recorded before the passing of her close friend and colleague Mike Rinder in January

2025. That was a very recent and very big loss to the community. I'd known Mike for many years,

and he's been a previous guest on this show.

Mike and Claire, of course, did some amazing work with the Aftermath Foundation over the years,

and after his passing, Claire organized a fundraiser to fulfill one of Mike's final wishes,

which was for his supporters to consider

donating to a college fund for his 12-year-old son, Jack. We've added a link to that

before escaping shortly after her husband, Mark.

In 2003, Claire testified as an expert witness on Scientology in the Danny Masterson trial.

Claire currently serves as president of the Aftermath Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting individuals who wish to leave the Church of Scientology,

and it provides crucial assistance to those who lack a support system as they transition to life outside the cult.
