And so we're a little late of starting, but better late than never. And so Dr. Allen, welcome back to Sotriology 101.

Oh, well, thank you, Leighton. It's a pleasure to be back with you and your listeners.

Well, we always are delighted to have you here. Usually when you're here, you're talking about one of our

favorite topics with regard to limited atonement because that is what you've written so many volumes on.

And so before we get going, why don't you tell the audience a little bit about your work on

atonement and resources that they can get a hold of? Well, sure. Thank you. I'd be happy to do that.

Basically, I became interested in this subject in a more academic way back around 2006 in order to

prepare for a conference that I was asked to speak at called the Whosoever Will Conference,

which was being held at a church there in Georgia in 2008.

And the topic that I was given was the topic of the extent of the atonement,

and particularly a critique of limited atonement.

So I was focused in on writing that paper and delivering that paper in 08,

and then that just led to further study on that subject, on that topic,

where my presentation was published in a book that I co-edited with Steve Limke called Whosoever Will,

a biblical and theological critique of Five Point Calvinism.

So we had all of the papers that were delivered at that conference, transcribed and published in that book.

And that was my first foray into publishing on particularly the subject of the extent of the atonement.
