Summary

For 18 years, Jean-Claude Romand’s family believed he was a brilliant, high-flying medical doctor working for the World Health Organization in Geneva. In reality, he was a medical school dropout who spent his days sitting in his car, wandering through forests, and reading medical journals in cafés to maintain the ruse. When the money ran out and the truth loomed, Romand chose a path of absolute destruction over confession. We walk through the devastating 48 hours where he murdered his wife, his two young children, and his elderly parents, before a failed suicide attempt left him alive to face the reality he destroyed.
