Summary

Jimbo and the Euro crew (James Horncastle, Raphael Honigstein, Julien Laurens and Alvaro Romeo) have a keen eye on footballing affairs across the continent.

The Champions League last 16 draw takes place twice and second time around, we see PSG paired with Real Madrid in a tie packed full of angles. And Man City face Sporting in the hipster’s choice.

Real Madrid look to be running away with the title while Real Betis sit 3rd as Manuel Pellegrini is once again doing a brilliant job in La Liga.

Inter go top of Serie A for the first time this season while Dusan Vlahovic’s exit from Fiorentina looks increasingly likely as he cannot stop scoring.

It’s a winning start for Domenico Tedesco at Leipzig as Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich admits he regrets not getting vaccinated after Covid causes him lung damage.

Plus The Athletic’s Sam Stejskal informs us about a first ever MLS Cup win for New York City FC. A result that sees Ronny Deila doing push-ups in his pants.

Yes, that 13th of December, the one with the UEFA draw that happened twice with a lap with a safety car in between.

1:12.4

Raffa, you just spent the last hour answering people on social media saying, why couldn't Liverpool play Villareal?

1:20.8

Because that would have left Inter playing either Jouva or Real Madrid, which both was impossible.

Well, anyway, so they did the draw, and you probably know this list, if you weren't following all the action from Neon Live, lunchtime on Monday, they did the draw, and then it emerged that one of the teams had been put in the wrong pot, because Man United shouldn't have been in with Villarreal. Let he, he has never put his balls in the wrong place. Throw the first stone at UEFA. Mistakes can happen. The important thing is they redid it. And I'm going to say maybe, did they redo it better? Depends, what club? Depends, yeah. I think Florentina Paris does not think so. No? No. Not sure PhD do either. All right.
