Summary

Lex Gillette is a globally recognized Paralympic track and field athlete who competes for Team USA. Competing primarily in the long jump, Lex has acquired four Paralympic medals, and three world champion titles, with his most recent long jump crown being won in the summer of 2017 in London, England. He currently holds the world record in the long jump for totally blind athletes with a leap of 22 feet-1 inch, making him the only totally blind athlete in the world to eclipse the 22 foot barrier in the event.

When he is not competing around the world, Lex is a motivational speaker who has spoken to organizations both large and small, including Fortune 500 corporations, trade associations, professional sports teams, non-profit foundations, and school districts. He is constantly challenging his audiences to see past their current reality as there is more to life than what is in front of their eyes.

Lex is a 2007 graduate of East Carolina University where he majored in recreation management. The four years that he spent in Greenville, North Carolina have helped shape him into the influential figure that he is today. As an athlete, motivational speaker and inspiration to many, Lex Gillette exemplifies the phrase, No Need for Sight When You Have a Vision®.
