Hi everybody this is Scott Sad earlier this morning I headed off to the cafe to do some

reading and as often happens when you check your Twitter feed you get sucked into a wormhole of insanity and lunacy and nonsense.

And so I wanted to share with you some of what transpired today. So I saw this tweet from Lex Friedman.

I care much less about what a human is or a man is and much more about what a good human is and

how to become one.

Then I replied, this is the full positivity that I recently spoke about. A good human

defense truth. A good human takes on thorny topics to protect

against the erasure of biological women from the realm of sports. A good human

does not relativize the fundamental marker of our

personhood, namely that we are a sexually reproducing species with two default

phenotypes male and female. Truth is the highest ideal of what it means to be a good human. Cheers. And then that was my milder one and then I decided to add some of my satirical spice. I said when I chose to

marry my wife I did not care whether she was male or female. I only cared that she was a good human. Luckily she did not have a penis and thus we now have children, albeit I am unsure of their biological sex. I am positive so I don't constrain myself with biological

reality. Now 99% of people understood that and weighed in very favorably. Of course there is a small

percentage of people who say oh you're so toxic you're such a troll you're so negative he's just

trying to spread love. You understand nothing. Life is not

about pedaling utopian nonsense. Life is about accepting things as they are and navigating the world in which you exist,

not the world that you wish could exist in your peddler of hope nonsense.

So again, this false dichotomy of if you criticize someone who's trying to spread love, you're

somehow anti-love, if you criticize someone who says, you know, everything will be solved if only we had more compassion

and kindness.

If you critique that, then you're against compassion and kindness. It is baffling to think that grown adults think that

the reason why I am intolerant, irascible, combative against this kind of nonsense is because it's harmful, right?
