a conversation. And so I just wanted to give you a little a context and if you are

somebody who's been listening for a while you know you can fast forward you know you

you have that little button what is it a 30 second fast forward go ahead and the context I want to give is that I started having these conversations with people with a microphone here because I've been having them without a microphone for a long time.

I was somebody who was a blocked screenwriter, a blocked writer really, a blocked artist until I was 30.

And when I was 30, my best friend and I went into a basement and worked for half a year and wrote the screenplay Rounders.

It was the first script we wrote together.

It's a long process, a long story, and how it ended up getting made

and becoming a movie after facing tons of rejection. I've told the story in many places, but when it happened

and I was able to live my life as a creative person and have gone on since then to make many movies

and television shows as a writer,

producer, or director. I promised myself that one of the things I was going to do was

reach out to artists who move me, creative people who intrigued me, and I was going to ask them how and why they do the
