Now, last episode, we just kind of did an overview of Leviticus. Today, we're actually going to start reading Leviticus, but don't worry because really, we're

no need to overcomplicate this book. It just comes down to two things. Love God, love people.

That's what the Israelites were being taught by God and by Moses when all of these laws were

written down. Love God, love people. And also, there's a better way and it's coming. In fact, for you, it's

already here, but for them, they were needing that encouragement probably if they were reading this.

There's a better way coming. They didn't know it then. And that brings us to another important

point to recognize. This would have been the very first book that the Israelites would learn, that they would

start to read when they went to Hebrew school. It's the last book any of us read. And in fact,

if you're intimidated by Leviticus, you are not alone. We were very intimidated by this book.

We almost contemplated not reading this book. We wanted to skip it. But all scripture is

God inspired. And so we're reading it. And actually, there is a lot of reason to study

Leviticus because love God, love people. That's all you need to remember as we go through this.
