0:29.5	Now, last episode, we just kind of did an overview of Leviticus. Today, we're actually going to start reading Leviticus, but don't worry because really, we're
0:39.6	no need to overcomplicate this book. It just comes down to two things. Love God, love people.
0:44.5	That's what the Israelites were being taught by God and by Moses when all of these laws were
0:49.5	written down. Love God, love people. And also, there's a better way and it's coming. In fact, for you, it's
0:55.2	already here, but for them, they were needing that encouragement probably if they were reading this.
1:00.1	There's a better way coming. They didn't know it then. And that brings us to another important
1:05.2	point to recognize. This would have been the very first book that the Israelites would learn, that they would
1:13.3	start to read when they went to Hebrew school. It's the last book any of us read. And in fact,
1:18.6	if you're intimidated by Leviticus, you are not alone. We were very intimidated by this book.
1:23.5	We almost contemplated not reading this book. We wanted to skip it. But all scripture is
1:28.6	God inspired. And so we're reading it. And actually, there is a lot of reason to study
1:33.5	Leviticus because love God, love people. That's all you need to remember as we go through this.
1:39.0	Oh, maybe a few more things. We're going to spend a few weeks. We're going to spend a few weeks here.
1:45.4	But we are going to try to move quickly. So today we're actually going to cover three chapters of Leviticus because we know
1:50.1	some of you want to get on to the narrative. So we are going to cover for the next seven chapters,
1:57.6	remember that outlined we did, ritualifice and specifically laws on offerings.
