Hello and welcome to episode 906 of the official Establish the Run.com podcast.

    0:22.8

My name is Adam Levitan. I am one of the co-founders here at ETR and we're coming off of a

    0:28.6

predicting game environment is hard kind of week. Yes, that's right. One way to win DFS tournaments

    0:36.9

in week one was simply play Justin Fields.

    0:41.4

One of the best runners at the quarterback position in the history of the NFL,

    0:45.4

just play him at 1% with Garrett Wilson and you're in the mix.

    0:50.2

But no, no, I couldn't do that because of game environment.

    0:54.0

Because I thought Jet Steelers would be an ugly struggle to get first downs,

    0:59.3

messy kind of game, just like everyone else thought.

    1:02.1

And yes, even if that's the most likely outcome for the game environment,

    1:06.4

some ugly game where Fields takes a ton of sacks and turns it over,

    1:10.4

and it can only muster 120 passing

    1:12.3

yards. When we're playing DFS tournaments, I often run into the issue of thinking too narrowly

    1:19.8

about how games will go. Think too much about actual football and matchups and not enough about

    1:25.4

the game we're playing, which is DFS tournaments.

    1:28.5

So after being on Justin Fields all summer through the drafting process, I mean, the dude even

    1:34.8

made my perfect draft article, I didn't play fields on any of my nine tournament teams in

    1:41.8

week one, which really frustrated me because now it's too late.

    1:46.9

I mean, it's not too late, but it's not as good. Fields is going to be more expensive

    1:51.4

and more owned for these next four games against the bills, bucks, dolphins, cowboys.

    1:57.8

The play simply won't be as strong. And I know you're thinking, how can we identify

    2:03.9

these spots going forward? Spots where the field and myself are just completely not waving

    ...
