So we're so happy today to be talking with and hearing from Lettie Cotton Pogrebin who is an author activist and speaker

She is a founding editor and writer for Ms magazine. She's written 11 books, including the novel that we're going to be

talking to her about today. And among her other books are two memoirs, Getting Over Getting

Older, and Deborah Golda, and me being female and Jewish in America

and the novel Three Daughters as well as the feminist classic how to Make It in a Man's World.

She also wrote a very interesting guide book in 2 and the 13

called How to Be a Friend to a Friend Who's Sick.

And she's the editor of the anthology,

Stories for Free Children, and was the consulting editor

on Free to Be You and Me, remember that?

And her writing has been published in places like the New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe,
