I got knocked back this week with a really nasty flu.

My voice is still a little bit hoarse and I'm a few days late but I am happy to bring you

part two of a conversation with the artist Rick Stevens. In this episode we

get a little more philosophical and talk about letting go of the ego, fear, and answering

almost unanswerable Zen cone questions.

Originally from Sparta, Michigan, Rick began painting alongside his father who painted

plain air landscapes. Later he studied at the Rick Kendall College of Art and Design and ultimately received his degree from A kindness college.

Rick blurs the line between representational and abstract painting.

His work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. including solo exhibits at the

Grand Rapids Art Museum, the Muscagon Museum of Art, and the Brower Museum of Art.

came for a festival of ceremonies of Iowasca have you have you heard of
