Welcome to this abide-bed-bed-time story.

When you've lost someone you love, it's of great comfort to know that they are now in the

presence of God. Though you mourn them, it is not a mourning that is without hope.

First Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 13 through 14 says,

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that

you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.

For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus,

God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.

As you prepare for sleep,

put your worries away.

Remember God's promises and know that he has everything under control.

Nothing ever takes God by surprise. So be strong in your faith and know that you have

eternal life with Jesus. Before we begin our story, lie down with your legs straight and slightly apart. Point your toes outward. Put your

arms at your side gently. Make sure your palms are facing up and close your eyes. Get nice and comfortable.

Now, place one hand on your stomach and the other on your chest.

As you breathe deeply through your abdomen, feel the comfort of God's love for you.

Inhale, relaxation, and God's embrace.

Feel the bed underneath you and how it is supporting you as you continue to exhale and relax

as you gently breathe in and out.

Do so in the authority of Jesus.

He is your rock and your shield.
