Here's two passages I want you to turn to, all right? I want you to turn to 1st Kings 3 and

Joshua 14. So open your Bibles to 1 Kings 3 and put a marker at Joshua 14. That's two of the scriptures that we'll read, but we're

going to read a lot of scripture like we always do. Because my opinion doesn't help you at all, but the word of God helps you.

So First Kings 3 and Joshua 14. All of you are probably familiar with this story in 1st Kings 3.

It's when Solomon was praying, or I don't even know of he was praying, pardon me,

it's when God appeared to Solomon and said to him,

ask anything you want and I'll give it to you.

Ask anything you won't and I'll give it to you.

And what did Solomon ask for? Wisdom, but why did he ask for wisdom?

Well he tells us the reason that he asked for wisdom.

And it's very, very important.

So 1st Kings 3, verse 5.

At Gibian, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night. And God said, ask, what shall I give you? And Solomon said,

you've shown great mercy to your servant David, my father, because he walked before you in truth in righteousness and in uprightness of

heart with you.

You have continued this great kindness for him and you've given him a son to sit on his throne as it is this day.

Now, O Lord, my God, you've made your servant king instead of my father, but. But I am a little child and I do not know how to go out or come in. I don't know how how to go out or come in. I don't know how to go out or come in. Obviously Solomon wrote this because he had difficulty with doorknobs.

No, he wrote this because there's a principle that his father David understood that we don't understand.

This term coming in and going out is all through the Bible.

And if you don't read it in other passages, you won't understand what it's talking about.
