Tomorrow is Election Day in America. There is one day left before it. This is the warning.

Tomorrow, some 100 million of us will turn up at the polls and cast a vote for President of the United States.

It is a singular office. The president is commander-in-chief of the most powerful armed forces in the

history of the world. They are the head of state, and they are the head of government. The presidency in the

United States is given to a person at the moment they complete an oath that is written into the

Constitution of the United States. In fact, it is the only oath that is written into the Constitution of the United States.

the president. The exact same words have been sworn from George Washington all the way through

Joseph Robinette Biden of Delaware.

These 35 words are profound.

They commit the person who swears to them to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution

of the United States to the best of their ability.

George Washington was the first person to pass power in America

to a successor. His name was John Adams. John Adams was the first person to lose an election

and pass power to his successor. His name was Thomas Jefferson. The ideas and the ideals of these men is very much on the ballot.

Though the words were written by the hand of a hypocrite, when they touched paper, they became the most

profound ever put there by the pen in the hand of a man across all of human history.

The idea that we are all created equal and endowed by a creator within alienable rights,

among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This is the essence of the American creed.

And today, freedom and liberty, when we say all men, means in 21st century America, all people,
