Be warned, Revelation chapter 6 will stretch your imagination and elevate your respect for God's justice.

He's a patient and forgiving God, but in the end he will not allow his character to be mocked.

Our study begins in Revelation 6, verse 1.

V.

Chapter 6.

Let me have you put on your thinking cap and notice the change in color of the horses, and notice a different rider is on each of the four horses. I saw when the lamb

broke one of the seven seals and I heard one of the four living creatures that would be an

angel saying as with a loud voice of thunder come it's a command and invitation and urgent appeal, come on, come ahead. I think he's saying this, the

angel is saying this to the rider on the horse. In this case it's a white horse

verse two. Often in scripture the color white is something about peace, purity, in the sense of a calm nature.

So this first writer represents or personifies a bloodless conquest.

He comes with the message of peace.

Notice he who sat on it had a bow. Now what goes with bows?

Arrows, but there are no arrows.

Arrows go with a bow if there's killing in mind.

But the bow itself would be, I think,

of something of a symbol of military might,

or at least the beginning of such. Without the arrow, there isn't the shedding of blood.
