I'm so much for joining us. I'm so excited. I have several questions and I know some method us too. So let's get started, shall we? So happy you want to start us off?

Yes. Well, I just love the opening of your book where you talk about how you got into this whole world of herbalism and teaching.

And I was really surprised to read in that very those very, very first pages when you talk about the first time you walked into your school of herbalism and how you felt.

Like kind of like an imposter's what's that called the imposter syndrome like you didn't know what you were doing. You didn't even know what a tincture is.

I think so many people can resonate with that where we are soul feels called to do something.

We take a leap of faith. We sign up for the class, the course, whatever it might be. And then we're like, oh, why did I do this? Why am I here? I'm not meant to be here.

So can you just kind of walk us through the beginnings of that journey for you and how you came to know, no, this is where I belong.

Yeah, so I was diagnosed with the chronic pain condition in my late teens and the experience really pushed me into the living world.

So I often say that the world inside my body was so uncomfortable. I went outside and I started sitting with the trees and talking to the creek.

And I really developed this profound relationship with nature. It was my solace and my safe space. It was a place where I really found hope and possibility.

And this was before I knew any plant names at all. I mean, I think I could probably I'd be a maple.

And that was probably about it or a pine. But it didn't matter because I made up my own names. I would be like, you know, the tall tree with the top that looks like a crown or you know, whatever it was.
