So today, we're going to talk about who's running Trump's social media.

There was an interesting exchange between Trump and a reporter that has gone viral.

The discussion seems to be missing a really important piece of the puzzle.

So we're going to dive into it today.

The story starts when Trump, well Trump's social media account anyway, posted a meme made

to reference imagery associated with the movie Apocalypse Now.

It featured Trump, who famously did not serve in Vietnam,

as Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore, from the scene with the ride of the Valkyries playing,

and known for the iconic line of, I love the smell of napalm in the morning. The meme posted by Trump

was captioned with quote,

I love the smell of deportation in the morning. Chicago about to find out why it's called the

Department of War. War is in all caps. Then it was followed by helicopter emojis. It was clearly meant as an ominous warning to Chicago, because, you know, intimidating American

citizens with the threat of the U.S. military is a totally normal thing for a president to do.

But that's only part of the story, and not even the weirdest part.

A reporter asked Trump if he was threatening to go to war with Chicago.

Trump responded as if he had no idea what she was talking about

and completely went off the rails, saying, quote,

When you say that, darling, that's fake news. Listen, be quiet. Listen. You don't listen.

You never listen. That's why you're second rate. We're not going to war. We're going to clean up our

cities. Chicago, about to find out why it's called the Department of War, all caps.

That's what he posted to his social media. I can't imagine why people would think he was going to war,
