Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again.

So today we are going to talk about Artemis.

It's back.

And we're going to talk about how everything is progressing and what the next phases are and

go from there.

So Artemis 1 completed its 25 day or so mission in space.

That mission has closed. The Orion spacecraft made it back to Earth.

Splashdown was perfect. It was scooped up by the Navy on December 11th.

It has now made it to Port. This is all after completing its 240,000 mile journey where it was

tested. There was a checklist of like deep space maneuvers and things they wanted to make sure worked.

This was unmanned.

And it did well.

It did well.

Now the craft is being transported back to NASA

where NASA is going to go over it with a fine tooth comb,

looking for anything that might have gone wrong,

any system that failed, any physical damage, stuff like that.

Now, so what's next in the Race to the Moon here?

Artemis 2 will... in the race to the moon here.

Artemis 2 will fly astronauts around the moon sometime in 2024. At least that's the schedule.

And that is a ways away after that maybe a year or two
