So today, we're going to talk about manufacturing and imports declining and what it means.

It's a metal shop guy question.

And if you've missed this, we have a group of guys of different political affiliations who

work in a metal shop that

send in questions pretty often.

Here's the question.

Hey, Miss Bell, this is a question from all of us.

Our boss just told us the manufacturing and imports are down and didn't really explain,

but it definitely seemed like bad news. We wanted to ask,

but he was in a mood. We looked it up and found out that yes, both are down. None of us really

know what to make of this. It seems like if one goes down, the other should go up. Is he being a moody little female dog?

Or is this actually bad news?

Well, it's definitely not good news.

Manufacturing contracted.

So as far as Trump's promises, there's not only not some resurgence of American manufacturing,

we aren't even manufacturing as much as last month. But it's not a huge decline. And honestly,

this is kind of in range. It's on the bad side of in range, but not the panic bad side of in

range. Imports, however, the panic bad side of in range.

Imports, however, are down to levels not seen since 2009.

That's right.

Once again, Trump's economic policies are more damaging than a global pandemic.
