So today, we're going to talk about Ukraine, Crimea, and lessons for you.

For quite some time, Ukraine has been strategically targeting fuel moving into Crimea.

Crimea is Ukrainian territory, taken by Russia way back in 2014.

So it was taken before the 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine

that threw the conflict into U.S. headlines. This was an area Russia believed it had total

control over. It was viewed as safe. The ability to hold this area also probably emboldened Putin and led to him believing

he could take the country in a few days or weeks, and launching the fighting that has now been going on

for more than four years. Recently, Ukraine has launched a series of strikes aimed at infrastructure and transportation

routes in hopes of turning the Crimean Peninsula into an island.
