So today we are going to talk about the United Kingdom

and a proposal that has hit the news

and we're going to answer a question about it.

I know you normally don't like to tell people in other countries

what their governments or militaries should do. But our defense secretary is

talking about sending our troops to Ukraine to train Ukrainians in Ukraine. I was wondering what you were thinking about this. Okay, so I would like to believe that this is just messaging, that it's signaling to Russia and

that that's all that it is. On the off chance that it's not, what do I think about the United Kingdom sending

British troops to Ukraine to be inside Ukraine working.

Uniformed troops.

I think it's a horrible idea.

An absolutely horrible idea. What is the benefit to the added risk? Risk versus reward. What are you getting

for it? Saving on transportation costs?

I don't think that's, I don't think that that's worth putting NATO troops there.

I don't think that's a good move.

And I understand, I'm not opposed to the idea of sending instructors in,

but they shouldn't be troops, pretend it's 2023, and hire one of the 15

companies that would be begging for that contract.

Sending in NATO troops on the ground, uniformed regular troops that are there officially. I don't think it's a good idea. There's a lot of ways that that could go bad and I don't see the benefit.

If there is a situation that would greatly enhance Ukraine's war fighting

capability by having instructors there, there are ways to do that without committing official troops to it. You're right, I don't like saying, hey, this is what this other military or other

country should do when it comes to stuff like this. But I don't really mind doing this one because of
