Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Trump,

the USDA, the EPA, and climate information. Trump has ordered the USDA, the EPA, and presumably

other agencies to remove references to climate change from their websites. Reporting says that an email

that went out Thursday tells USDA web managers to archive or unpublished landing pages focused on

climate change and then identify other references to climate change for further review.

This is the agency in charge of keeping our food supply secure in the face of climate change.

They run a bunch of initiatives to help farmers get ready for the impacts of climate change.

This could also affect backyard gardeners as well. The hardiness zones

that keep shifting northward as the climate warms, those are USDA hardiness zones. To the Trump

supporting skeptics out there, please remember, Trump's national security posture and interest in

Greenland is because of climate change.

DOD's 2024 Arctic Strategy puts all the info out there for you. You have to engage in some real

double-think to simultaneously support advancing national interests in the Arctic because of shifting climate

and support ending communication with farmers and the public on how to help keep the food

supply secure. The removal of information also seems to have impacted web pages that provide

insight, context, and vulnerability assessments for wildfires.

Meanwhile, the EPA, the Environmental Protection Agency, the agency tasked with, you know,

protecting the environment and mitigating climate harm, has already removed information

about climate change from its

sites. It's safe to assume that this was due to an order similar to the one the USDA got. A few
