Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump, Korea, and a big twist.

South Korean and U.S. relations are strained, but they may actually be more strained than it first seemed, and it may not be over. The situation has grown so tense

that Trump is posting on social media trying to smooth things over, but it doesn't seem to be

working, and that's where the twist comes in. Just a quick recap, around 300 South Koreans were

rounded up while helping to open a battery plant in Georgia.

It was accompanied by the normal Trump PR Blitz.

The people were held for about a week before South Korean diplomatic efforts got them all returned home.

As an initial sign that South Korea, a critical U.S. ally, was incredibly unhappy about the situation.

Trump is reported to have offered to allow those rounded up to stay.

Reports say all but one left.

The South Korean president indicated that the incident could have a, quote, considerable impact on future

investment in the U.S. News came out that the plant's opening was setback months. In what

seemed to be an attempt to smooth things over and sue the investor concerns, Trump posted to

social media. Quote, when foreign companies who are building

extremely complex products, machines, and various other things, come into the United States

with massive investments, I want them to bring their people of expertise for a period of time,

to teach and train our people how to make

these very unique and complex products, as they phase out of our country and back into their

land. If we didn't do this, all of that massive investment will never come in the first place.
