Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump, tapping oil reserves and it being exported.

0:14.0

Trump is continually drawing down the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserves in an effort to cushion the blow from his elective campaign

against Iran, that he claims is to stop Iran from developing a nuke, despite U.S. intelligence,

0:30.9

the IAEA, and Iran saying they didn't have an active weapons program, and haven't for years. While his reasons for

his war may be imaginary, the effects on the economy aren't. A lot of people are hearing about

the Strategic Petroleum Reserve for the first time. It was created back in 1975, after the gas crisis back then. The oil is stored in giant salt

We'll take those in reverse order. Why is it taking so long?

2:01.6

So the reserve is capable of delivering massive amounts of oil to the market quickly.

2:07.6

2:21.0

to cushion fuel prices. This is especially true if the self-inflicted crisis is expected to last

2:29.0

an extended period. Okay, so I hasn't gas gone down after all of the oil being released? Well, releases from the

2:38.7

reserve don't really drop prices, but they do help them not rise as fast, though. As an example,
