Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Stargate,

Trump, and reality. So, Trump seemed to take credit for a new tech venture dealing with

artificial intelligence. He said it was a half trillion dollar investment in the technology.

It's primarily focused in Texas.

A statement on OpenAI's page says, quote,

The Stargate Project is a new company which intends to invest $500 billion over the next four years,

building new AI infrastructure for Open AI in the United States.

We will begin deploying $100 billion immediately.

This infrastructure will secure American leadership in AI,

create hundreds of thousands of American jobs,

and generate massive economic benefit for the entire world.

This project will not only support the re-industrialization of the United States,

but also provide a strategic capability to protect the national security of America and its allies.

The CEO of OpenAI said he believed it would be the most important project of this era and thanked Trump, even saying, quote, we wouldn't be able to do this without you, Mr. President.

Now, some people might be thinking back to Trump announcing the huge $10 billion Foxcon factory in Wisconsin back in 2017 that never happened.

It was supposed to create 13,000 jobs.

By the time the project actually came through, it would create less than 1,500 jobs,

and the investment was less than 7% of what was initially promised.

This will probably be different.

Why?

Because despite the CEO saying it wouldn't happen without Trump, it could.

How can I say that with such certainty?
