Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bell again. So today we're going to talk a bit more about Trump and Vance's ongoing issues in Springfield, Ohio, and a surprising turn in the state. A Haitian nonprofit community

group used an attorney and a unique part of Ohio law to attempt to bring charges

against Trump and Vance over the false claims the pair have repeated

in the conduct that followed. In Ohio citizens can use an affidavit and sort of submit recommendations for charges.

Before the affidavit moves forward, there will still need to be involvement from a prosecutor and a judge.

The affidavit asks that the Clark County Municipal Court affirm that probable cause exists and then issue warrants for the arrest of

Trump and Vance.

It's a rarely used process and might take some time to move anywhere, if it does at all.

Most of the attorneys we spoke to couldn't even guess

how this plays out.

One indicated there was a strong First Amendment defense

for Trump and Vance, and that they didn't really

expect this to go anywhere.

They all said that a lot of media coverage is leaving people with the wrong idea and that it should be clear that neither Trump nor Vance

have actually been charged in the way that most people think when they hear the term.

The Executive Director of Haitian Bridge Alliance who filed the

charges on the group's behalf said quote, over the last two weeks both Trump

and Vance led an effort to vilify and threaten the Haitian

community in Springfield, Ohio.
