Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's truly bizarre social media post

about the military turning on water in California and a bit about Columbia.

Trump has apparently taken his habit of just declaring victory when nothing changed to new heights. To give you

an idea of how weird this gets, I'll start with the sentence. The U.S. military did not invade

California. For whatever reason, Trump posted to social media saying, quote, the United States

military just entered the great state of California,

and under emergency powers, turned on the water flowing abundantly from the Pacific Northwest and

beyond. The days of putting a fake environmental argument over the people are over. Enjoy the water,

California. If that sounds just completely outlandish to you,

you're not alone. I think the most confused group of people were those at the California Department

of Water Resources, who had to take to social media themselves to post, quote,

The military did not enter California.

The federal government restarted federal water pumps after they were offline for maintenance for three days.

State water supplies in Southern California remain plentiful.

State Senator Mike McGuire also responded to the truly weird claim,

saying, quote, first off, shocker, water from the Pacific Northwest doesn't flow to the Central Valley. Second, federal water pumps were down for repair and are now back on. Third, rest assured,

the military has not invaded the Delta. Facts are hard. Unless we find out that Trump ordered

special operations teams to conduct a covert mission into California and nobody knew. This looks a lot like Trump's standard

play of creating an issue claiming something was done and declaring victory. Much like the

situation with Colombia, where Trump is claiming victory for getting Colombia to accept deportees.
