Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's disaster deployments.

As Trump continues to talk about his PR stunt that turns U.S. troops against American citizens,

a couple of people have commented on my demeanor during the videos.

Just a representative example is, quote, Bell, why aren't you freaking out about Trump sending

out troops? You seem annoyed, but pretty nonchalant about it. Why aren't you mad? First, freaking out doesn't help anybody. Remember,

I've been a triage nurse. Remaining calm is what allows you to accurately assess. Second,

who told you all I wasn't mad? I'm mad. Furious, really? Just for different reasons. But before we get to that, let me explain

what's behind what may seem like a nonchalant attitude to some of this. First, all indications

are that this is an incredibly ill-advised and very dangerous PR stunt. With that in mind, dealing with it will be

annoying. The other thing to remember is that for a good portion of my life, I dealt with military

enforcement of law. And I'll be honest, if I had the choice between having my car unreasonably

stopped and searched by a cop from

LAPD or Houston PD or Miami-Dade or a military cop, I'd always choose the military cop.

Wait until people find out that military cops are generally far nicer and more concerned with de-escalation.

I can't count the number of times I was stopped leaving base for a random search.

It happened so often, I started to assume that random really meant bell worked a 12-hour shift,

and the guards at the gate wanted me to stand

in the sun for a bit. Also, Jeep with no doors being searched by dogs while I'm leaving base.

Annoying. But they were always professional. Seriously, there's military cops on patrol and investigating every day in this

country. Other than when the suspect heard a kid, when's the last time you heard about excessive force

from one of them? So, knowing that at this point, it's a ridiculous PR stunt that is likely to simply be annoying.
