Well, howdy there, internet people, it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's pro-China flip-flops infuriating the MAGA base.

I try to avoid the Schadenfreude videos for the most part, but this is just amazing. Trump went to China and came back with

some policy announcements, and his base is furious. A big one is the concern that China is buying

too much U.S. agricultural land. Candidate Trump was totally in line with his base on this one.

And back in September of 2024, Trump said, quote,

We're going to protect it by saying you can't come.

You can't do it.

We don't want you buying our land.

We don't want you taking the land and basically taking it off the market.

And we don't want you doing it. A lot of his base and some in Congress thought that was

real policy. And just this week introduced a bill the sponsors say will close loopholes that allow

China to buy land near critical U.S. infrastructure.

But when Sean Hannity brought up the idea of Chinese nationals buying up farmland or land near

military bases, Trump said, quote,

It's not that I love it.

You want to see farm prices drop.

You want to see farmers lose a lot of money?

Just take that out of the market.

But they've had a lot of land for a long time.

And then, he then went on to blame Obama, because of course he did.

Understandably, his base feels tricked.
