Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about

0:08.1

Trump, polling, and manuals. There's some interesting polling, and it's leading to some

0:14.5

interesting questions and some bad connections, but it'll clear up real quick. So here's a message. Quote,

0:23.8

Ms. Bell, did you see the polling about immigration? That swing doesn't make any sense at all.

0:30.5

How did support for Trump's plans declined by that much, that fast, across all demographics and

0:36.9

parties? I smell a rat. I don't like conspiracies,

0:41.4

but if people are that opposed, is it possible they were always that opposed? I need you to explain

0:48.1

this, because I'm going down a rabbit hole here. Okay, to catch everybody up to date, because I'm not sure how widely

0:57.2

this polling will be reported. Gallup ran their normal polling, and what seems like a huge

1:03.7

anomaly surfaced. The difference in American opinion between last year, while people were

1:09.9

gearing up to vote for Trump, and this

1:12.4

year, after he started his plans, is stark. Last year, 55% of Americans wanted immigration

1:21.0

decreased. Now that number has dropped to 30, a 25-point swing. Just looking at Republicans, it was 88% last

1:31.8

year, and only 48% this year. Perhaps even a more surprising stat is Republicans who want more

1:40.6

immigration now. It's now up to 11%. Last year, it was only 4%. The last time this many

1:49.6

Republicans wanted more immigration was the last time Trump was in office. But stepping by that,

1:58.1

overall attitude shifted as well. Currently, a record high of 79% of Americans

2:04.8

view immigration as a good thing that benefits the nation. Last year, 32% viewed it as a bad thing.

2:14.3

That number has dropped to 17%. Today, 64% of Republicans say immigration is a good thing. Last year, only 34%.

2:26.0

There's a bunch of other stats. More people support amnesty than last year. Less people support more walls and border patrol and deportation.

2:37.5

I'll put the link down below. So here's the obvious question. Why is this happening?

2:44.6

Why did people vote in an anti-immigration president and then almost immediately shift their views the other way.
