with other CEOs at a business roundtable would go very well, especially

considering those who would show up to something like that,

would be those leaning Trump's direction to begin with.

According to reporting, that is not what occurred.

The reporting suggests that they believed him to be low energy and that there was no applause really.

Now, there was, according to the reporting, some applause when he talked about lowering the tax

rate, you know, for the people in the room.

But that was kind of undermined when they asked why he chose 20%.

And he, according to the reporting, said, because it's a round number.

Let me tell you something, at the heart of every good fiscal policy is round numbers.

The reporting says that they described him as remarkably meandering all over the map, said

he could not keep a straight thought, and Trump doesn't know what he's talking about.

Undoubtedly this is not the response that the Trump campaign wanted. And it going public in the way that

it has is probably pretty troublesome to the campaign. Now it is worth noting that they said that the

attitude that Trump wanted to convey there was that it was a business meeting and not a campaign speech.

And fair enough, that actually, that makes way more sense than most of the things that come from the

Trump campaign to be honest however even in a business meeting, you want people to engage with your ideas.

You don't want them to walk out of the room thinking that Trump doesn't know what he's talking about or that he's all over the map.
