So today, we're going to talk about Trump's fear of the midterms and polling.

Trump let some of his fears out into the public sphere

while giving a little pep talk to the GOP ahead of the midterm season.

He was speaking at the Kennedy Center when he said, quote, you've got to win the midterms, because if we don't win the midterms,

it's just going to be, I mean, they'll find a reason to impeach me. He gave these remarks on January 6th. He went on complaining about how

Americans just don't understand his genius, saying, quote, they say that when you win the presidency,

you lose the midterms. So, you're all brilliant people. Most of you are in this business longer than me. That makes me

smarter than you, because look where I am, right? No, it doesn't. But I wish you could explain to me

what the hell's going on with the mind of the public, because we have a, we have the right policy. Reminder, Trump is saying this after

threatening a NATO ally, shortly after starting the only military operation since the turn of

the millennia, that a majority of Americans did not support the day it started. Looking over the polls, it looks like

about four in ten support going to grab Maduro, and about 90% think the Venezuelan people,

not the U.S., should determine the future of Venezuela. Andy started this military operation

shortly after his party made sure that health insurance

would skyrocket for tens of millions of Americans, and that millions would lose their insurance,

which he did shortly after starting a trade war with a country that captured large amounts

of market share that was traditionally

American, then agreed to bail that country out economically, while the farmers here are getting

a bailout that isn't enough, which happened shortly after he tried to turn U.S. troops

loose on American streets, which he did shortly after he pushed out

about 10% of the federal workforce, while managing to somehow also drive up federal spending.
