So today, we're going to talk about Trump's distractions failing because of Arizona.

So, in Arizona, there's a special election happening today for a U.S. House seat,

assuming this goes out the day I recorded. It is incredibly likely

that the outcome of the election favors the Democratic Party. It's occurring in a district

Trump lost by more than 20 points. The 7th District of Arizona was represented by Raul

Grahava until March when he passed. He was a pretty

well-known progressive. His daughter is running to take his seat. If she wins, Adelaida

Grahava will hold his seat for about 15 months. She cruised to victory in the primary and notched endorsements from AOC and

Bernie. The Democratic Party holds a two to one advantage in the district. It seems very likely

that she'll win. She is already committed to signing the discharge petition brought by Massey

and Kana that would force the

release of the Epstein files and described it as, quote, fulfilling Congress's duty as a constitutional

check. Her signature would give the petition the 218 it needs to move forward. This means Trump's repeated attempts at changing

the story will have failed. Trump has done pretty much everything he could to end this story,

but his base isn't letting go, in no small part because many MAGA figures campaigned on the topic.

There is a chance that Speaker of the House Johnson uses his sway to block the petition in the House Rules Committee,

but he said privately he isn't going to do that.

Perhaps more importantly, for Johnson to bog it down in committee,

he would need the help of House Rules Chair Virginia Fox of North Carolina.

She was asked in an interview if she would block the petition.

She replied with quote, no.
