Well, howdy there, internet people, it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's Canadian tariffs being voted down in the House.

Okay, top line news.

The House voted 219 to 211 to disapprove of the national emergency Trump declared. Without that national

emergency, Trump's tariffs on Canada end up voided. Six Republicans voted to end the tariffs.

Kevin Kylie of California. Jeff Hurd of Colorado. Thomas Massey of Kentucky. Don Bacon of Nebraska, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania,

and Dan Newhouse of Washington. One Democrat voted to keep them, Jared Golden of Maine.

My guess is he's thinking the tariffs might help his state's blueberry producers.

He's retiring, so the rest of the state, suffering under Canadian boycotts, won't have the opportunity to voice their displeasure.

It was hard for Democrats to even get this to the floor, because, much like the Epstein vote, Republican leadership in the

House was blocking it. Democratic leader, Hakeem Jeffries, said, quote,

For months, sycophantic Republicans in the House have tried to block us from acting on behalf of

the American people. Today, House Democrats forced a successful vote

to detonate the Trump tariffs on Canada. Before the vote, Trump posted to social media

threatening Republicans. Any Republican in the House or the Senate that votes against tariffs will seriously suffer

the consequences come election time, and that includes primaries.

Tariffs have given us economic and national security, and no Republican should be responsible

for destroying this privilege.

In a different post, Trump said, quote,

Canada has taken advantage of the United States on trade for many years.

They are among the worst in the world to deal with,

especially as it relates to our northern border.
