So today, we're going to talk about Trump, Putin, Vance, and Greenland.

Trump, Vance, and Putin have all made comments about U.S. plans for Greenland.

A collection of U.S. officials planned to visit Greenland over the week.

Opposition from, well, pretty much everybody

in Greenland led to the trips being scaled back greatly, which was probably for the best.

A multi-party agreement in Greenland signed before Vance's arrival read, quote, Greenland belongs to

us. Before we get to the real news, Vance erked a few people

this week with his failure to follow basic military courtesy. He didn't uncover in the Chow Hall.

Then, his sense of wardrobe, he was dressed like Zelensky, was also pointed out. In another time, this would be a scandal

to rival a tan suit, but that isn't really news compared to some of the statements that were made

and the long-term implications. Vance, while at the most welcoming place for him in Greenland,

a U.S. base, said, quote, well, the president said we have to have

Greenland, and I think that we do have to be more serious about the security of Greenland.

We can't just ignore this place. We can't just ignore the president's desires.

It seems very clear the people of Greenland do plan on ignoring the U.S. president's desires. It seems very clear the people of Greenland do plan on

ignoring the US president's desires. Vance also added quote our message to

Denmark is very simple. You have not done a good job by the people of Greenland.

Reminder, Denmark is a NATO ally. Trump's rhetoric was even more pointed. Quote,

I think Greenland understands that the United States should own it. And if Denmark and the EU don't

understand it, we have to explain it to them. Trump said, quote, we have to have a Greenland.

It's not a question of do you think we can do without it?
