Well, howdy there, internet people it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump pushing solar to new heights.

Trump is not generally a fan of renewables, from his weird claims about wind power and solar on the campaign trail, to actively pursuing policies

that would hurt renewables, to his drill baby drill mantra.

Trump's fascination without dated technology is a hallmark of his administration.

He's positioned himself as a politician who is set on making Americans use dirty, obsolete, more expensive technology that creates national security concerns because of situations like, well, the one he caused.

The funny part is that his inefficient policies, coupled with his elective

war, may actually be the major catalyst of widespread adoption of renewables. Due to the failures

related to planning for a closure of the strait and an unwillingness to consult with allies. Much of the world was

caught unaware and unprepared for the closure. Most countries are realizing that the straight

closure is the result of a relatively small conflict when compared to what could happen. Modern economies and a lot of societies cannot handle disruptions and energy.

Trump's actions force the world to confront this fact.

Therefore, it's pushing countries to speed transition.

China, a country that isn't refusing to move into the future, doubled its solar

exports in March. They exported 68 gigawatts of generation capacity. That's more than the solar

capacity of some countries, exported in a single month. In the U.S., last year, Utah became the first

date to open up plug-and-place solar, or what gets called balcony solar. Maine followed in early April.

Virginia just jumped on board. If you're not familiar with the systems, they're small and don't power a full home,

but they can reduce electricity bills. In Europe, the push to switch really started with Russia's

invasion of Ukraine, but the current straight closure reinvigorated the effort to break the chains of fossil fuel dependence.

Trump sees a future that runs on oil, but most of the world is looking elsewhere. They see a

future of renewable energy. Just a little note, since we've got a lot of movie references going on this week.
