Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's Prayer in School guidance.

Trump is apparently issuing guidance through the Department of Education

that will somehow protect prayer in school,

which is incredibly strange, because it's already pretty

well protected. But anyway, Trump said, quote, I am pleased to announce this morning that the

Department of Education will soon issue new guidance protecting the right to prayer in our public

schools, and its total

protection so just so we're clear public and private individual and group

prayer is protected at schools already it's subject to the same rules as other

private non-religious activities. You know,

like it can't disrupt educational activities. There can't be coercion from staff or students to join.

It has to be initiated by students and so on. Student religious organizations even have to get equal access by the same standards as non-religious student groups.

The only real restriction is that it can't be state-sponsored or state mandated.

That's pretty obvious because of that whole First Amendment thing.

So honestly, I have no clue what his guidance is going to say.

The only thing he could realistically try to relax are regulations against teacher-led initiatives,

which would just open the door to a flood of lawsuits.

This honestly seems like something Trump is doing to get attention.

Since we're talking about prayer, I'm going to quote Matthew for a second. When you pray, you are not to be

like the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street

corners, so that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you, they have their reward in full.
