Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Trump,

New York, Navarro in the Supreme Court. New York Judge Mershan rejected Trump's motion to dismiss

his case over the immunity ruling that came from the Supreme Court.

Trump's team reportedly has a list of other arguments for dismissal ready, but this one didn't go anywhere.

Back in May, a jury convicted Trump of 34 counts of falsifying business records in what is

commonly called the New York hush money case.

About a month later, the Supreme Court issued its controversial ruling about presidential immunity

for official acts. Trump used this as the basis for the motion to dismiss. Judge Mershaw, in a 41-page ruling, said the immunity provided

by the Supreme Court did not apply, specifically saying that, quote, decidedly personal acts

of falsifying business records poses no danger of intrusion on the authority and function of the

executive branch.

Another part of the Supreme Court ruling was that evidence from official acts could not be

used to prosecute non-official acts. Judge Mershahn found that even if the prosecution had used

some evidence from official acts,

quote, such error was harmless in light of the overwhelming evidence of guilt.

From here, the Trump team is likely to go to the appellate courts and maybe back to the Supreme

Court. Now, that will probably cause a lot of people to groan

because the expectation has been built

that the current Supreme Court is just a rubber stamp for Trump.

While the majority of the court and Trump

are ideologically aligned,
