Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump, Maxwell, and a mess for MAGA.

Trump's actions are driving an even deeper wedge between various factions of MAGA over this whole mess.

Galane Maxwell met with Trump administration personnel for about nine hours over two days.

The interview was reported to have been conducted under a limited immunity agreement,

and Maxwell reportedly provided information on about 100 people.

David Oscar Marcus, an attorney for Maxwell,

said, quote, we don't want to get into the substance of the questions. There were a lot of questions, and we went all day, and she answered every one of them. She never said, I'm not going

to answer, never declined. The expectation was that

she would talk to Congress, but her attorney poured a little bit of cold water on that idea

without completely ruling it out. Quote, we have to make a decision about whether she will do that or not.

That's been scheduled for the week of August 11th, and we haven't gotten back to them on whether we'll do that.

If she were to invoke her Fifth Amendment, there isn't a whole lot Congress can do about it.

The meeting she took has brought up concerns in the MAGAverse that Trump is going to pardon her to keep her quiet.

The concern over her testimony has also shown itself up on Capitol Hill.

Congressman Robert Garcia said, quote,

She probably wants a pardon from Donald Trump, and so her meeting with Trump's

Department of Justice cannot be trusted, and anything she says must be cooperated with documents

and records from the actual Epstein files. Even the Republican Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson,

also cast doubt on whether or not

she's credible. With all the concerns about the possibility of Trump giving her a pardon in

exchange for her testimony that helps him, Trump did about the worst thing he could politically.
