So today, we're going to talk about the first internal Trump administration power struggle.

We've talked about the tension between Elon and Bannon, but that's Magaverse tension, not within the halls of government.

So, it all started over the weekend when Elon's

crew sent out an email demanding that federal employees send back a list of five things they

accomplished over the weekend. They have until 11.59 p.m. tonight to respond. Elon indicated

that those who didn't reply would be treated as though they

resigned. Well, it appears that the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Homeland

Security, the FBI, NASA, and most of the intelligence community have instructed their employees

to ignore the Doge demand. It's worth remembering that some of the intelligence community have instructed their employees to ignore the Doge demand.

It's worth remembering that some of these agencies are led by Magaverse Stars,

who, in theory, should be on the same page as Elon.

Congressional lawmakers from across the political spectrum indicated the demand might be illegal. Unions representing

federal workers have threatened to sue over any terminations. Elon later tried to make it

seem like it was some kind of elaborate test to see if federal workers were, quote, capable of responding, and an

attempt to see if they, quote, had a pulse. So, this is the first glimpse of an internal

turf war between those in the MAGAverse who are interested in running their departments

and the Elon Doge effort, which at this point

seems more like a show for Trump's base. More importantly, it presents a problem of perception,

and maybe a problem that will show up in court. In a recent affidavit, a Trump administration

official declared, quote,

Mr. Musk has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself.
