considering special operations inside Iran to seize nuclear material. News has come out that Trump is

actively considering deploying a special operations team inside Iran to deal

with Iran's 450 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium. Obliterated. He kept using that word. I knew it didn't

mean what he thought it meant. Look, before we go further,

if you were one of those who celebrated his first strikes on Iran, it's time to admit he lied to you.

In a matter of war and nuclear material, Trump looked at the American people and said it was obliterated.

Now, just a few months later,

he's talking about sending American boots on the ground into Iran to correct his abject failure,

that every expert said would fail before it happened.

He called the assessments that said his operation failed, fake news.

If you believe that, he played you.

One of the reported quotes about this from an official who spoke to the press was, quote,

The first question is, where is it?

The second question is, how do we get to it and how do we get

physical control? And then it would be a decision of the president and the Department of War,

CIA, as to whether we want to physically transport it or dilute it on premises.

To be clear, this indicates that the United States doesn't know where

almost a thousand pounds of highly enriched uranium is. It lost track of a thousand pounds of uranium.

We knew where it was before Trump started playing general, knowing it's half the battle,

and apparently we don't.

To be honest, I'm not terribly worried about the guy who wants a thousand pounds of the stuff.
