So today, we're going to talk about Trump, Bolton, and Secrets.

President Trump's former national security adviser, John Bolton, was indicted on Thursday by a federal grand jury in Maryland.

He was hit with eight counts of

transmission of national defense information and 10 counts of retention of national defense

information. Bolton is a staunch critic of Trump. A long time ago on a continent far, far away,

I used to handle secrets.

Documents that once used had to be logged as destroyed with a witness.

If I had told people what was on those documents, even without malicious intent, I would have been in cuffs.

That's kind of what he's accused of.

The basic idea is that he was provided with

national defense information, then later relayed that information to a third party. I mean,

it's been a long time. The system isn't even in use anymore, and I still don't talk about it.

I'm saying this to point out that when it

comes to many of the charges being leveled against Trump critics, they appear incredibly flimsy.

In this case, if he actually did what's alleged, it's a big deal. That being said, there is no way

of knowing yet how much politics is involved.

Some of the biggest allegations include the accusation that he disclosed sources and methods.

That's not just disclosing a secret, but disclosing how the secret was obtained. That's
