Well, howdy there, internet people, it's bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Trump

being finished with the straight, but it's not finished with him. Now that the first timeline of

Trump's campaign against Iran has come and gone, without achieving his ever-shifting objectives.

He said it'll be another two or three weeks.

But perhaps more concerning is that Trump doesn't seem to understand that he's kicked a hornet's

nest and that the hornets have a say in how long this lasts.

If he had kept actual experts around, he would have probably grown tired of hearing the phrase.

The enemy gets a boat. Mattis is very fond of the expression. But Trump's biggest enemy is probably

going to be geography.

Trump said, quote,

We'll be leaving very soon, and if France or some other country wants to get oil or gas,

they'll go up through the strait and Hormuz straight.

They'll go right up there and they'll be able to fend for themselves. I think it will be

very safe, actually, but we have nothing to do with that. What happens in the straight? We're not

going to have anything to do with it. Cool. Either Trump plans on committing to a speedy transition away from fossil fuels,

or he doesn't understand that while he might be done with the straight, it's probably not done with him.

We're not going to have anything to do with it. Cool. But the country still runs on oil, right? And oil is a global market.

So now that his little caper has disrupted the oil supply to the world, oil prices will remain

elevated. He can say it's not his problem all he wants, but it's your problem. You're going to pay quite

literally for his failure to understand the consequences of his actions until the situation is

resolved. If that supply is disrupted, our oil price will remain elevated. But we don't get our oil from there. If oil companies can

sell their oil for 120 a barrel overseas and 80 here, where do you think they're going? This
