So today, we're going to talk about how Trump is not the shock caller with Iran.

As we discussed last night, tensions began flaring with Trump's campaign. The list of reasons for the

flare-up is lengthy, which would be surprising if you're constantly consuming media

that simply parrots Trump officials repeatedly saying that a deal is imminent. Periodic reminder,

Trump is not a source. Okay, so we'll go through the chain of events, then we'll talk about why it happened.

Negotiations have been strained, and the administration made a couple of unforced errors.

Beyond that, the fighting in Lebanon has continued.

And recently, there were Israeli strikes near Beirut,

which has kind of been a red line for Iran.

So last night, Iran launched strikes,

and unlike those fired during Trump's ceasefire,

these were aimed at Israel.
