So today, we're going to talk about Trump and the GOP's Red Scare rhetoric failing

on the youth. We've got two questions, and both of them relate to the sudden upswing and

interest about systems other than capitalism among America's youth, and really people under 40.

A lot of it has to do with history and lived experience during the Cold War.

Those who grew up after the Cold War don't know what it was like.

And trying to explain it to them is like trying to explain the pre-internet days to somebody

who grew up with a smartphone.

They understand that it happened, but don't understand the day to day.

So here's question one.

where you said Republicans don't understand how they mainstreamed socialism.

At first, I thought you misspoke, but now I'm wondering if maybe I just don't understand something about politics. Could you expand on what you
