Well, howdy there, internet people, Lidsboo again. So today we are going to talk

about Austin's speech and that quote that is everywhere right now and we're

going to talk about what it means and what it means for the

U.S. position. The major outlets, they pulled two paragraphs from that speech and they're important

paragraphs. They are the most important in the speech. However, the context is key. They probably should have pulled four paragraphs. The paragraph

immediately before and immediately after. So we're gonna go through all of it,

those four paragraphs, because there is something

pretty important in it that you would miss if you didn't get that first paragraph.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, the United States Secretary of Defense gave a speech.

There were a couple of paragraphs in it

that definitely caught a lot of news organizations

caught their attention.

And so we're going to go through those.

Okay, so the two that are circulating everywhere

to catch everybody up.

You see in this kind of a fight the center of gravity is the civilian population and if you drive them into the arms of the enemy you replace

a tactical victory with a strategic defeat.

So I have repeatedly made clear to Israel's leaders

that protecting Palestinian civilians in Gaza is both a moral responsibility and a strategic imperative.

That's what went out.

And I mean, you can see why that went out everywhere.
