Well, howdy there internet people, let bow again so today we are going to talk

about the United Kingdom and North Carolina something they have in common and

we're going to talk about some news that isn't actually news

but it just hit a certain group of people and they're talking about it and of

course they are

casting it in a less than accurate way meant to, well, meant to scare people.

All right, so, for whatever reason, the like Doomsday, everything is scary, crowd, they found out that the United Kingdom is mobilizing 20,000 troops. They have on their boards, they are attempting to tie this to like events in the Middle East and stuff like that.

None of that's happening.

The 20,000 troops will take part in Steadfast Defender, which is a NATO exercise involving 31 countries.

It will be the largest NATO exercise since the end of the Cold War. If you are familiar with the exercises from the Cold War,

Steadfast defender is reforger, rebranded. It's the same thing. I mean, obviously it's not exactly the same because it's no longer returned forces to Germany

A whole bunch of people just realized reforger was an acronym but yeah it's it's the same thing. For those that don't know, from the late 60s, early

70s to 1993. NATO ran an annual exercise simulating a Soviet invasion. Steadfast

defender is simulating a Russian invasion.

They're probably not

specifically calling out Russia, they'll frame it in some other way,
