So today, we're going to talk about Trump versus the EU, trade deal collapse edition.

Trump promised a wave of massive trade deals.

They never occurred.

One of the few deals he was able to tentatively obtain was one with the

EU. Then, Trump decided that he wanted Greenland. When his plans to buy it failed, he decided to

use tariffs to try to force Denmark into selling Greenland to the U.S. Well, the EU halted the approval process of the trade deal,

and it has currently collapsed. So, we'll start with that and then go over the related

development that is 25 years in the making. That is another huge signal. Trump's U.S. EU trade deal was on the fast

track to approval in the EU. But because of his Greenland antics, they're halting the approval.

This is going to bother Trump because to him, quote, I think it's the biggest deal ever made.

Now, it's easy for me to tie the halt of the biggest deal ever made

to Trump making an amateur mistake with Greenland.

What's the proof?

They literally said that was the reason.

Quote, given Donald Trump's threats regarding Greenland,

approval is not possible at this stage.

The 0% tariffs on U.S. products must be put on hold.

The European Commission President said, quote,

territorial integrity and sovereignty are fundamental principles of international law.

They are essential for Europe and for the international community as a whole.

We have consistently underlined our shared transatlantic interest in peace and security in the Arctic, including through NATO.
