Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump, the House, and a showdown.

The House GOP has released their continuing resolution.

For those who were hoping to see a clean resolution, spoiler alert, it's 99 pages long. It has a defense spending increase in non-defense

spending reductions. But here's the eyebrow raising part. The continuing resolution lasts so long,

I'll be putting up Halloween decorations when it expires. It runs until September 30th,

so much for a short-term clean resolution. The Republican

Party, despite having majorities in the House and the Senate and having the presidency, are basically

giving up on passing a budget anytime soon. Trump came out in favor of it via social media,

writing, quote,

The House and Senate have put together, under the circumstances, a very good funding bill,

C.R. All Republicans should vote, please. Yes, next week. Great things are coming for America,

and I'm asking you all to give us a few months to get us through to September, so we can continue to put the country's financial house

in order. Democrats will do anything they can to shut down our government, and we can't let

that happen. We have to remain united. No dissent. Fight for another

day when the timing is right. Very important. Make America great again. It may not be Democrats

Trump needs to worry about. While some fiscal hawks in the House have indicated they're on board,

there's still a few remaining

non-committal or silent.

Republicans in the House don't have a lot of votes to play with due to their lack of

a big majority.

Over in the Senate, things could get even dicey for the GOP.
