So today, we're going to talk about the Trump administration charging Letitia James.

According to reporting, a federal grand jury indicted Letitia James, the current New York Attorney

General, on Thursday for bank fraud related to the

much-discussed mortgage application. James released a recorded statement, saying, quote,

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president's desperate weaponization of our justice system.

He is forcing federal law enforcement agencies to do his bidding, all because I did my job

as the New York State Attorney General. James, as Attorney General of New York, was responsible for the civil lawsuit against the Trump

organization and worked alongside the Manhattan DA's office in the criminal investigation.

In her statement, she went on, quote, these charges are baseless, and the president's own public statements make clear that his only goal is political retribution at any cost.

The President's actions are a grave violation of our constitutional order, and have drawn sharp criticism from members of both parties.

When it comes to the idea that its political retribution, Trump didn't do himself any favors

by posting to social media, quote, Pam, I have reviewed over 30 statements in posts,

saying that essentially, same old story as last time.

All talk, no action.

Nothing is being done.
